Ratatouille is an animated film, but the makers have done everything to make the kitchen and the food as real and professional as possible. Everyone has their station: the saucier, the rotisseur, the garde manger (cold kitchen), the sous-chef and the chef of course. The kitchen scenes were recently shown to professional chefs and they were very impressed. Only the copper plate trolley they found a bit exaggerated. The food itself is also animated as tasty and realistically as possible. American star chef Thomas Keller was the culinary coach of the film and was responsible for, among other things, the beautifully dressed tower of ratatouille in the film. The animators of Pixar did everything they could to make the drawn dishes look just as delicious.
