This film is all about perseverance and humor! On this day, we will serve you a mix of Dutch and sporty snacks: simple, savory, and prepared with love. Just like in the film, it’s all about taste and enjoying things together. Be inspired by the Rotterdam mentality of De Marathon.
What you see, is what you eat. During *The Marathon*, you eat exactly what is being eaten in the film at that moment. The culinary script by Cinema Culinair determines the timing for our chef and service staff. Good movie + good food + great timing. That last bit makes all the difference. For example: if, after a night out in Amsterdam that got a little out of hand, your friends are eating their shawarma at around 53 minutes and 21 seconds, you’ll be served the same dish. Not too early, not too late, but right on time. That way, you’ll experience *The Marathon* not only with your eyes and ears, but also with your taste buds.

Come on time and get a taste of the atmosphere. No cinema, no restaurant, but an urban or classic ballroom with high ceilings, movie screens and long tables. But first: buy a bottle of wine to accompany the film. Or something else delicious.

At the table, you’ll be told how it works. Seven carefully prepared dishes are served, perfectly timed with the film. There is a break halfway the movie. As soon as the movie starts, the first dishes appear in front of you, quickly and efficiently. Then it’s time to countdown…. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and taste. Together all at once.

You eat exactly the same as the actors in the movie. Right down to the second. So you experience the film with all your senses: see, hear, smell, taste and feel. It couldn’t be more intense. see, hear, smell, taste and feel. As if you were sitting at the table with the actors.
